Upon winning the award for Cotton Candy Fairy Godmother du jour, it became readily apparent that taking inspiration from the saccharine in the era of normcore might seem a little desperate if it weren't for the futuristic 3D structure rising from the shoulder or the striking graphics. Perfection doesn't have a recipe, and when it comes to truly personal, don't-give-a-hoot style, I say the weirder, the better.

In dodging most of NYFW's digital aftermath (the scurrying to detail the shows during plane rides across continents, the periodic Instagram check-ins from our favorite online personalities) from the comfort of my personal bubble, the need for revived experimentation in the style blogging category really began to sink in. The almost imperceptible disillusion with the blogging community in the past years is, at this moment, both very tangible and very justified.

Upon further consideration, there are a slew of contributing factors to both the digital style maven's fall from grace, and her ultimate comeback.
Stay tuned for more on this topic coming later this week!
